School Board Retreat Scheduled for Monday, October 1, 2012

Please be advised more than one Polk County School Board member will be in attendance at the School Board Retreat scheduled for Monday, October 1. The meeting will begin at 8:30 a.m. It will take place at the Jim Miles Professional Development Center, 5204 U.S. Hwy. 98 South, Lakeland, FL 33813.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the Strategic Plan. The meeting will be facilitated by Dr. Tom Freijo.

Special Work Session Scheduled for Tuesday, October 23, 2012 

Please be advised more than one Polk County School Board member will be in attendance at a special work session with NEOLA scheduled for Tuesday, October 23. The special work session will start at 8:30 a.m. It will take place in the superintendent’s conference room at the Polk County Public Schools District Office, 1915 South Floral Avenue, Bartow, FL 33803.

The purpose of the special work session with NEOLA is to review proposed policy updates.

Notice of Central Florida Public School Boards Coalition Meeting

Please be advised more than one Polk County School Board member may be in attendance at the Central Florida Public School Boards Coalition meeting scheduled for Monday, October 8. The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. It will take place at the Ronald Blocker Educational Leadership Center, Conference Room A, located at 445 West Amelia Street, Orlando, FL 32801.

The purpose of the meeting is to address public educational issues impacting Central Florida.
