Mr. Miller Named Assistant Principal at Kingsford Elementary
Superintendent Dr. John A. Stewart and the Polk County School Board approved the appointment of Mr. Christopher Miller as Assistant Principal at Kingsford Elementary during the February 19 School Board meeting.
Christopher Miller began his career with Polk County Public Schools in 2006 as an Exceptional Student Education- VE teacher at North Lakeland Elementary. In 2007, he transferred to Polk City Elementary, and while there, Mr. Miller taught second and third grade. Since 2010, Mr. Miller has served at N.E. Roberts Elementary as the Academic Intervention Facilitator math teacher and as the Title One Resource math teacher.
Mr. White Named Senior Director of High Schools
Superintendent Dr. John A. Stewart and the Polk County School Board approved the appointment of Mr. Stephen White as the Senior Director of High Schools during the February 19 School Board meeting.
Polk County Public Schools welcomes back Stephen White. Mr. White began his career with the District in 1975 as a classroom teacher at Spook Hill Elementary. From 1980 to 1985 he taught at Dundee Exceptional Student Education Center. In 1985, Mr. White was appointed Assistant Principal at Wahneta Elementary.
From 1986 to 1989, he was the Assistant Principal at Wahneta Elementary. Mr. White’s principal appointments include: Hillcrest Elementary, 1989-1993; Jewett Magnet, 1993-1994; Lake Region High, 1994-2003; Lake Wales High 2003-2004; Don E. Woods Opportunity Center, 2004-2005; and Frostproof Middle-Senior, 2005-2011.
